A content management system (CMS) is a software that allows publishing, editing and modifying of your website content articles as well as application updates from a central interface. A list of web CMS have emerged in the last decade and they’ve improved to offer powerful environments for web development.

Examples of commonly used CMS in the web are:

  1. WordPress
  2. Drupal
  3. Joomla

These systems have tremendously improved along with the growing technology to produce more sophisticated websites. Joomla recently released version 3 that focuses more on mobile enhancements. Joomla now recommends new websites be built on version 3 to experience the mobile features and enhanced security in this new development.

WordPress on the other hand have also made tremendous improvements to support mobile technologies. Joomla and WordPress systems now support responsive web design! Responsive templates are now coming up and it will be easy to make responsive websites than ever.
